We’ve listed out fashion tips for your cute little kid for the winter season.
Here are our 5 EASY STYLING TIPS FOR WINTER SEASON
LAYER UP THE OUTFIT
Layering the outfit is necessary in order to ensure that your babies or children are fully protected from the cold weather. The American Academy of Pediatrics says that one should put babies in multiple layers compared to what an adult would wear in the same condition. Also, do not over-layer. Over-layering your child will actually make them colder because excess layers will result in making your child sweat, making their clothes wet and allowing the cold winds to bring down their temperature.
Start with the base layer. Base layer plays an important role in wicking the moisture. Choose fabric like wool or any other synthetic fabric like polyester but not cotton. The next should be your middle layer. Middle layer is primarily to provide insulation. Our warm bodies heat up a little layer of air around us, which helps insulate from the cold. You can look for materials such as wool, fleece or down. The last layer or third layer should be made out of waterproof breathable fabric. The third layer of clothing keeps your child dry and warm and to protect them from other elements.
WRAP A WOOLEN SCARF MUFFLER AROUND THE NECK
Draping a thick knitted scarf around the neck will protect you from cold and keep your neck warm. The scarf can also be used to wrap around your ears and face to protect and cover it from cold. Scarfs are a fashion statement and make your outfit look more stylish by accessorizing it.
TIGHTS OR LEGGINGS UNDER JEANS
Oftenly we overlook the fact that we need to protect our kids’ legs from the cold too. Jeans alone cannot provide full proof protection from cold winds. Make your kids wear heat microfibre tights or extended length leggings underneath the jeans. Denim is not considered the most suitable material for cold weather as cotton fabric is not ideal for repelling harsh weather conditions. Making your kids wear tights or leggings under jeans is an excellent way to keep them warm while making them look stylish.
GLOVES AND BOOTS
You can conclude your kids' attire with a pair of comfy gloves ( that doesn’t restrict their movement) and a pair of stylish boots. Gloves or mittens are important as they protect from cold and soggy hands. Waterproof boots that hit your kids’ mid-calf will provide ultimate protection from cold weather. On extra cold days, you can add a pair of woolen socks or smart socks which are a blend of wool and synthetic fibres.
